Parish Reporter IN Rome?
Roaming in Wien [2]
(click on tiny picture to view original)
Vienna (Wien) is a city of much art and many museums. One
of the most famous Belvedere was once the residence of a wealthy Viennese.
It now houses a vast art gallery. As you can see Stan and I did some posing
on a sunny day on our visit. The view from the main building across the
lawn is astounding. Possibly because other than Golden Gate Park or Lake
Merced I cannot visualize such an expanse of park belonging to one person
as this originally was. Also, the art is stupendous as the Monet exemplifies.
Vienna Me & City: Old and New

Saving and sending from the computer has become a way of life
while travelling. As you can see the accomodations aren't vast and the
work area isn't top notch but it does do for sleeping and computing. Vienna
does have a new side. The new city is across the Danube and has some striking
sharp architecture. Also, as the final photo shows, there is the ever present
array of different cultures and the sign of the USA exporting its best
to the world around us - MacDonald's!!!!!
THE DANUBE AND UPPER DANUBE
The Danube, river of Vienna, clear and crystalline, shimmers
in the sunlight. It separates into a higher and lower part and the altadanube
is the scene for water sports like sailboating and swimming and fishing.
What a grand and glorious sight - just seeing it brings to the ear the
Waltz!!!!
It is Sunday, it must be train time
on to Munich!!!!! Coming Soon.
