On the Road again!!
Vienna to Munich - Oct 12, 1998
(click on tiny picture to view original)
The train ride from Vienna to Munich was awesome. I had
forgotten the beauty of the Fall with trees changing colors and all - almost
20 years since seeing it in Nebraska. The golden corn fields reminded
me of home in the Midwest too. The biggest difference was the quaintness
of the towns sprinkled through the countryside. Also, the announcement
along the way of a town approaching by the tall spire of their church dominating
the skyline. There was much beauty to be taken in and savored which pictures
can only hint at telling.
More Scenes on train between Salzburg, Austria and Linz, Germany
- too awesome to talk about but proof of memorable scenery and places on
this ride. The countryside, the fact that rulers gave people small plots
of land to grow food which are developed along the rail lines and the stations
themselves testify to a vibrant and alive part of the world. The area abounds
with life, color, beauty and an industrious people.
