   On the trek to get to North American College in Rome for his sabbatical studies, Fr. John rode Amtrak to Omaha, Nebraska where his mother and relatives live. Celebrating Sunday Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, the family home parish allowed him another chance to experience the unity of the church. Interesting that the organist at the 9 AM Sunday Mass is the same organist who played and led the choir for his First Parish Liturgy some 27 years ago. Organist are a hardy lot. Kids are the same worldwide. I made a friend at Our Lady of Lourdes. A little guy gave me this drawing and told me his name was John too. I think the drawing was inspired by the homily I preached. I am glad to see that children are the same the world wide.
