Dear OLM friends:
This morning I received a nice email from Ms. Annabelle Groh, Bishop Wester's administrative assistant, explaining that our bishops will not be able to return to the USA until after our Jubilee Mass May 16.
(As you may know, they are required to meet personally with the Holy Father once every five years for an ad limina visit.)
Annabelle was most apologetic for the scheduling snag, but I assured her that I still remembered how to celebrate Mass and would be happy to fill in for Bishop Wester this coming Sunday afternoon. The lady at the dry cleaner's confused him with me a couple of years back, so maybe no one in church will even notice!
Thanks for your understanding with this change in plans. I look foward to being with you once again when I return to OLM on Thursday!
