An Interview With The Bitonio Family by Philip Korn.

Right now, the family is involved in many things.There oldest son, Eric, is away at Santa Cruz University. He will graduate in 1999. Their second oldest son, Erwin, is involved in the parish chorus and attends Riordan High School. He will graduate this year. The youngest son, Earl, is involved in altar serving and helps with ushering. He also stuffs bulletins on Fridays. Mr and Mrs. Bitonio are in charge of the Marriage Preparation Program. They have been in charge of this program since 1989. They went through it themselves when they were getting married.

In the past, the Bitonio family has also been involved in a number of activities. Mrs. Bitonio used to be a homeroom mom and did yard duty. Mr Bitonio started coaching in 1994 and he stopped coaching after Earl's sixth grade team, Earl was the only one to start kindergarten at OLM. Eric and Erwin went to Thomas Edison for kindergarten,

One last thing that I would like to tell you is that Mr. Bitonio's father and his wife, are celebrating their 50th anniversary next year on October 16,1999 at OLM. Also, Mr. Bitonio and Mrs. Bitonio are celebrating their 25th anniversary on June 21, 2000 at OLM. They were married at St. Joseph's. It was enjoyable for me to spend some time with the Bitonio's as they shared their experiences with me. They deserve a lot of credit for being so active in both OLM parish and school over the years.
